Chocolate Mug Cake

For the cake batter

  • 4 tablespoons flour

  • Pinch of salt

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Stir in milk, vanilla extract, and canola oil. Mix well.
  3. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds or until the middle of the cake looks done.
  4. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, mix chocolate chips and heavy cream.
  5. Microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds or until all of the chocolate chips are melted.
  6. Stir again and pour the mixture on top of your chocolate mug cake.

  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream


  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix butter, brown and white sugars, baking powder, vanilla extract, and coconut oil.
  2. Stir in flour and salt. Mix until combined.
  3. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the batter.
  4. Microwave for 40 seconds to 1 minute or until the cookie looks done.
  5. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (optional)


  1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix cocoa powder, coffee powder, brown sugar, flour, and salt.
  2. Add canola oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
  3. Microwave for 1 minute and 20 seconds to 1 minute and 40 seconds or until the brownie has risen.
  4. Top with vanilla ice cream.
